Create a Paper Exam with your
History Question Pack in 8 Easy Steps!

Each Question Pack .zip file contains a folder of Word files - one file for every chapter in the textbook. This brief guide will help you create a paper exam using these Word files in just eight easy steps!

Determine the length and point value of your exam. The Question Pack for every textbook chapter includes 25 MCQ questions, giving you multiple options:

  • Choose ten of the questions in one chapter for a brief quiz

  • Use all of the questions in one chapter for a 25-question quiz or exam

  • Combine two of them to create a standard 50-question exam

  • Mix and match questions from three or four chapters

STEP 1

Open the Word files for the chapter or chapters you wish to use; for example, Chapter 3 and Chapter 4. Important: Save #3 as a new file and name it Exam or Quiz, etc.

STEP 2

STEP 3

Go to the Chapter 4 Word file and copy the text of all the questions from 1 to 25.

Go back to the new document you just created (Quiz or Exam) and paste all of the copied questions at the end of it. Adjust the document format so that the questions are numbered 1 through 50.

STEP 4

STEP 5

Important: Use the Word “Replace” function to find and erase the asterisks marking the correct answers.

STEP 6

Add your course information at the top: Course Name, Number, Semester, Year, Date.

STEP 7

Print, copy, and use in your next class!
